Jon Penner and Susan Rempel
July 28, 2001

Jon and Susan's wedding was a joyous occasion. My husband and I are good friends with them and we often hang out together. They are a vibrant couple with animated discussions, lots of laughs, and they carry a lot of responsibility in our church's College and Career group. I was so happy to see them say their "i do's" before all their family and friends. The photo session went well. We started at 9:00 am and the sky was nicely overcast. The ground was a little muddy from the showers the day before, but we managed without Susan's dress getting too dirty. The setting was the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum in Steinbach. There were many options for photo spots, so we wandered all over the place and got some great photos. We had a good time. One of Susan's attendants was her brother, so that made for some interesting pictures. The ceremony was beautiful. Their decorations made it feel like an outdoor ceremony. The reception was a blast. It made a difference that I know the couple. We enjoyed the slideshow and the speeches. My husband and I look forward to spending more time with this fabulous duo and we wish them all the best.
